Stress Panic Attacks Tips
Anxiety <a href="http://www.healthandlifeblog.com/learn-how-to-naturally-stop-panic-attacks-for-good/” target=”_blank”>panic attacks often occur randomly and are extremely shocking and scary experiences. How you might ask, do we stop a severe attack? The best thing to do during a panic attack is to really do nothing or rather, don’t fight it. Although it can seem difficult, you do have control over your emotions when panic symptoms occur.
Let the sensations and feelings run their course and remember that they will come to an end. In many cases people who experience anxiety attacks report that they believed that they were on the brink of death. Symptoms of panic can seem like one is having a cardiac arrest or stroke.
Symptoms or ‘sensations’ like severe chest pain, shooting pains and trembling are very distressing for the sufferer. As severe as Panic Attacks can be bear in mind that they can’t kill. When you have an attack try to inhale slowly and deeply and try to relax.
A panic attack can worsen when a sufferer starts hyperventilating. This is why it’s important to breathe slowly and deeply. You’ll find that you’re symptoms will dissipate more quickly. Getting up and walking about can also help you feel more at ease.
When attacks happen, sensations can last for hours after, so try and remain relaxed and continue to breathe deeply. Divert your attention by doing something to help forget about the panic symptoms. You can try lots of things; take a bath, go for a cycle, read a magazine or talk to someone for support.
If you suffer from an anxiety disorder, it’s important to get help. Your problem won’t go away by ignoring it. Anxiety disorders have been effectively treated with behavioral changing therapies. Disorders can deteriorate if a person goes without help. Furthermore there is a high possibility of developing other health problems such as sleep and depressive disorders.
Suffering from an anxiety disorder is bad enough but to have another disorder as well makes life even more unbearable. Depression makes a person feel frequently miserable and sad. Depressed people feel insignificant and feel that they have no life purpose. Sufferers are likely to lose interest in activities that they enjoyed before.
It is much more difficult to treat anxiety depression since they both require individual treatment. People with both disorders are at a higher risk of suicide and are much more likely to turn to drugs and alcohol. Although recreational drugs and alcohol might provide temporary relief in some people, long term use can actually worsen the problem. Some sufferers become reliant and find it hard to stop drinking or using drugs.
Insomnia is another frequent problem that crops up with anxiety disorders. Sleepless nights can be frequent in those with an anxiety disorder. Racing anxious thoughts and physical tension can keep a person feeling awake. Come bedtime they feel restless, tense and unable to switch their minds off no matter how tired they are.
Tiredness from lack of sleep can make the day grueling and symptoms of anxiety more intense. Sleeplessness can be chronic and some people might experience months without proper sleep. Recovery from anxiety and depression can be a lot quicker when treated early. Get professional help and don’t ignore anxiety and hope it will disappear.
