Tea Tree Oil Shampoo Contains Phytoestrogens??

I was talking about hair loss with my friend yesterday and when I told her I use organic sulfate free tea tree oil shampoo, she freaked out and told me "Oh my gosh! Don’t use tea tree oil because it contains estrogen from the phytoestrogens and can mess with your hormones!"
I told her I had been using this shampoo for years now because I thought I was doing something good by using sulfate free. I also thought tea tree oil is supposed to be good for the scalp to prevent hair loss.
Now I am so confused. And worried because I have several hormonal issues because of hypothyroidism and adrenal insufficiency (effects cortisol, DHEA, testosterone, etc).
Does anyone know anything about tea tree oil containing phytoestrogens and if this is unsafe or can actually mess with our hormones?
Thanks ladies!
